teenage crime

went thrifting today with beautiful results -- so much amazing jewelry! black leather studded clogs & a rabbit fur vest as well. there are days when i have endless patience for sifting through clothing at secondhand/thrift stores -- today was not one of them, so i focused on accessories instead. i am going again with my best friend on sunday, and couldn't be more excited -- she always urges me to buy the things i have second thoughts about, which i love.

now we are settling down, thinking of thai for dinner & trying to decide which season of lost to watch (we're addicted, hopelessly.)

cannot wait to move. i am so sick of our apartment, no matter how lovely it actually is. i haven't ever lived anywhere for more than a year - i have always needed the constant motion to motivate me. but i am at a point now (engaged, done with school, staying in always) where i want to find a place, stay, and form the kind of style within an apartment that only comes with time. endless excitement.

coming home to portland is the best feeling ever. i spent a few days in las vegas attending to family matters, and just let me say: i hate it there. it is so void of any ... real feeling, any culture (however weird that sounds) and ANY personality. the damp green hills here and the fact that i could tell who was returning home on the plane back ... such comforts.

anyways: cute glasses and rings, grace jones is so gorgeous, stringy sleeves, how in the world do i not own paisley leggings yet, i have always loved you madonna.

among many, many other excitements surrounding our move, i literally cannot wait for a new apartment to decorate. i am very much the kind of person who is affected by her surroundings, and our current tiny, carpeted apartment just isn't cutting it. hunting for & purchasing new, wonderful furniture/trinkets is going to be such a treat!
