nice quiet night at home. blueberries from the farmers market & a humming radiator - trying so hard not to let this continuous rain invade my spirits. xoxo.
these are on repeat, and will probably stay that way for days. i am not feeling well & my fiance is at school; between our schedules we don't get to see much of one another this week, and that always throws me off balance. portland weather just will not let up; endless rain and gray skies - a girl can only daydream about summer for so long. time to take a shower, have my nightly cup of chai and go to sleep. tomorrow is another day, and puppies still await.
loving basically everything my bright eyes see. i'm so happy to be home after a long day - curled up in blankets, sipping chai with the windows open to the rain. we've been looking at puppies on the humane society websites & talking about decorating the new apartment nonstop ... so excited. possible names for my puppy: blixa, lucretia, witchbaby, stagger lee, sylvia, camille (my favorite prince alter ego, although it may be a little weird as one of our parakeets is named camilla ... ) and faust - really, the list is endless. can't wait forever always so in love with everything!
really love the pop of denim in the second picture. i've never been much of a fan - i literally own one pair of "blue" jeans - but it's just so perfectly used here.
winding down after a wonderful three day weekend. we spent hours & hours apartment hunting, and finally found the most beautiful place - exactly where we want, only $75 more than we pay now, double the size ... i'm in love with it. there is a beautiful courtyard, the building itself is faded pink stucco with pale green trim, and we can have as many dogs as we want, with no pet deposit - the woman who lives there now has four adorable little mutts! it looks like a little forgotten palace - lush and dark and run down in the portland way that i adore. i have been putting all my most loving, heartfelt energy toward getting it - we meet with the landlord on wednesday. fingers so crossed they hurt! besides that there was a lot of eating and thrifting and sleeping in - lazy fluffy days, and i am sad to go back to work tomorrow.
